Men's Interprovincial Series 2025

The third iteration of the Men's Interprovincial Series took place on Saturday 24th of May 2025 in St Michael's College, Dublin. Competition was high in the lead up to this years tournament with teams looking to knock off the reigning champions Munster. 

The first round saw Leinster taking on Connacht in a high scoring game with Leinster coming out victors 9-7. In another closely fought match, Ulster beat Munster 8-6. 

Ulster looked like the team to beat after the second round with a comprehensive win over Leinster winning 9-3. Munster returned to their winning ways with a close victory over Connacht 8-6. 

Each team had the chance of making it into the final going into the third round, Munster narrowly beat Leinster 9-8 which looked enough to secure their place in the final. In the other match, Connacht caused a huge upset by beating Ulster 8-5, overtaking Munster and securing a final against Ulster. 

It was a re-match for all teams of the third round in the playoffs. In the Bronze Final, Munster once again came out on top against Leinster in a nail biting match which finished 8-7 after a strong second half come-back from Leinster. 

The Grand Final was another spectacle with both teams holding a lot of firepower. Connacht took an early lead but Ulster followed suit with the game having one score in the difference for most of the game. In the dying minutes, Connacht took an intercept to bridge the gap to two tries and seal their first Interprovincial victory.
