Women's Open Head Coach Required

19/03/2026

The Ireland Touch Association (ITA) is seeking a visionary and high-octane Head Coach to lead our Women's Open squad. This is a pivotal role within our High Performance program, focused on delivering growth at the 2026 European Championships and establishing a long-term winning culture for Ireland on the international stage.

The Opportunity

As Head Coach, you won't just be managing a team; you will be the architect of our High Performance strategy for the Women's Open division. You will work closely with the ITA High Performance Director to refine tactical frameworks, develop elite athletes, and ensure Ireland remains a formidable force in European Touch.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a leader who breathes the game—someone who remains calm in the "engine room" but demands excellence on the training pitch.

  • Tactical Brilliance: You possess a high Game IQ and a deep understanding of modern Touch patterns, sub-strategies, and defensive systems.
  • Proven Track Record: A minimum of 3 years of coaching experience (ideally at a representative or high-club level).
  • Pressure-Tested: You thrive in high-paced, high-pressure sports environments and can make decisive calls when the clock is ticking.
  • Master Communicator: You can break down complex tactical concepts into actionable instructions and provide constructive, empathetic feedback to elite athletes.
  • Top-Tier Organisation: You are a disciplined planner, capable of managing training cycles, trial processes, and tournament logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the selection, preparation, and tactical direction of the Women's Open squad.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive training program aligned with the ITA High Performance goals.
  • Foster a professional, inclusive, and high-achieving team culture.
  • Drive performance analysis and individual player development plans.

How to Apply

If you have the passion to lead Ireland's best and the drive to compete at the highest level of European Touch, we want to hear from you. Please submit your Coaching CV and a brief cover letter outlining your coaching philosophy to: highperformance@irelandtouch.ie
